A UK court has adjourned the plea and trial preparation hearing involving Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, to February 2027 after the case could not proceed as scheduled on Tuesday.
Snaresbrook Crown Court fixed February 8, 2027, for the next hearing, where Poco Lee is expected to enter a plea to the charges against him.
The case came before the court on Tuesday, September 15, but the entertainer did not appear because the charge sheet was reportedly unavailable. As a result, no plea was entered.
According to BBC News Pidgin, the next plea and trial preparation hearing will now take place on February 8, 2027.
The trial itself has been scheduled for March 8, 2027.
Poco Lee was previously granted bail on September 11 following his first appearance before the court. He therefore remains on bail while the case continues.
The initial September 15 hearing had been expected to provide an opportunity for the entertainer to enter his plea, but the absence of the charge sheet prevented the proceedings from moving forward.
Some Nigerians were reportedly present at Snaresbrook Crown Court in support of the entertainer, with the gallery said to have reached capacity while others waited outside.
The case has attracted significant attention in Nigeria following reports that Poco Lee had been detained by UK authorities over allegations against him.
Following his first court appearance, reports also circulated that he had been granted bail. The court later confirmed the bail decision.
Poco Lee, whose full name is Iweh Pascal Odinaka, rose to prominence through his dance performances, particularly during the rise of the Zanku dance movement.

His performances gained widespread attention around 2018 and eventually led to collaborations and performances with major Nigerian music stars, including Zlatan Ibile, Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage and Naira Marley.
He has also released music, including songs such as YARD and Otilo.
The entertainer studied Microbiology at Lagos State University and has remained a prominent figure in Nigeria’s dance and entertainment scene.
The allegations against Poco Lee have not been determined by the court. He remains presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
