Ahead of the 2027 presidential and gubernatorial elections scheduled for 2027, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has named veteran actor Jide Kosoko, Fuji musicians Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, Abass Akande Obesere and Adewale Ayuba, and Nollywood stars Toyin Abraham-Ajeyemi, Eniola Badmus and Bimbo Akintola as members of the party’s Campaign Council for next year’s poll in the state.
The entertainers were among 33 personalities listed under the party’s Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate in the campaign council released by the Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre on Thursday.
According to the list on Thursday, the Commissioner for Tourism and Culture, Toke Benson-Awoyinka will serve as Director of the directorate, while Kosoko is named Co-Director and Badmus as Deputy Director.
Akeem Alimi, popularly known as Ajala Jalingo, is listed as Secretary, with Dare Olateju as Assistant Secretary.
The directorate also features several Fuji musicians, including Sulaimon Alao Adekunle, popularly known as Malaika; Akorede Babatunde Okunola (Osupa) and Temitope Adekunle (Small Doctor).
The full campaign council is scheduled for inauguration on Friday, September 18, at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja, Lagos.

The Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate is one of several structures contained in the Lagos APC campaign council, which includes other directorates and sub-committees ahead of the 2027 elections.
