Niger State Governor and North Central Coordinator of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Mohammed Bago, has met with party stakeholders in Kwara State as part of efforts to strengthen unity and cohesion within the party.
The meeting was part of efforts to strengthen the APC’s structures and promote greater unity and coordination among party leaders across the North Central region ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The gathering, held on Wednesday at the APC Secretariat in Ilorin, provided an opportunity for party leaders to deliberate on strategies to strengthen the APC’s structures and advance its programmes across Kwara State and the wider North Central region.
Bago, while addressing the stakeholders, urged APC members across the region to intensify their support for the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He said plans had been developed to advance the party’s objectives, adding that he would continue to work with other governors in the region to coordinate strategies ahead of the elections.
Bago stressed that unity, commitment and collective action among party members were essential to strengthening the APC and advancing its programmes across the North Central region.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, commended Bago for his grassroots mobilisation efforts and contributions to party coordination in the North Central zone.
AbdulRazaq also acknowledged Bago’s role in efforts to strengthen the APC’s structures and foster greater cohesion among party members ahead of the 2027 elections.
The stakeholders discussed strategies for advancing the party’s programmes and strengthening its structures in Kwara State and across the wider North Central region.
Those in attendance included the APC North Central Zonal Vice Chairman, Mu’azu Rijau; Kwara State APC Chairman, Prince Fagbemi; Niger State APC Chairman, Aminu Bobi; as well as other party leaders and government officials.
