Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has approved the appointment of 535 new political aides, including Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs), in the latest expansion of his administration.
Among the appointees is a former Deputy Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Ogundeji Iroju, who was appointed Special Adviser on Legislative Matters.
The appointments were announced on Monday in a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan. The appointees were assigned responsibilities across various sectors and areas of government.
Those appointed as Senior Special Assistants include Olaoluwa Adesanya, who will oversee Inter-Party Affairs, and Seyi Lawrence Aletile, who was assigned to Entertainment and Tourism.
Adekunle Orisamoluwa was appointed SSA on Support Groups Activities, while Favour Semilore Tomomewo will serve as SSA on Public Health.
Temilola Odetola was also appointed Special Assistant on Civil Society Organisations, alongside other SSAs and SAs listed in the first batch of appointments.
According to the governor, the appointments are part of efforts to strengthen the administration and enhance its engagement with various sectors, groups and stakeholders across the state.
The appointments take immediate effect, while the full list and details of the 535 appointees were released alongside the announcement by the governor’s office.
