Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, has reacted to a viral social media claim alleging that he and the mother of Afrobeats singer Ayra Starr, Nene Aderibigbe, are expecting a child.
The music executive responded to the claim on Wednesday after it gained traction on X, questioning the basis of the rumour in a sarcastic reaction to the account that shared the post.
“Let me first tag and beg your family members to talk sense to you now o,” Don Jazzy wrote.
The viral post claimed that the music executive and Ayra Starr’s mother were celebrating ahead of the arrival of their alleged unborn child.
It was accompanied by photographs and a video showing a man and a pregnant woman holding what appeared to be a scan, alongside footage from a celebration.
However, the authenticity of the materials and the identities of the individuals featured could not be independently established.

Don Jazzy’s response subsequently generated further reactions online, with social media users commenting on the unusual nature of the allegation and his decision to respond publicly.
The latest claim follows previous online speculation linking the music executive romantically with Nene Aderibigbe.
Images purporting to show the pair together have circulated on social media in the past, although questions have also been raised over the authenticity of some of the materials, including suggestions that some may have been digitally manipulated or generated using artificial intelligence.
