Chelsea are reportedly preparing to revive their interest in Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara when the January transfer window opens.
The Blues came close to signing the 22-year-old during the summer but a late deal ultimately collapsed, leaving Chelsea without the midfielder they had targeted to strengthen their squad.
According to TeamTalk, Chelsea remain keen on Camara and have continued to monitor his performances since the failed transfer.
The report claims the Senegal international remains Chelsea’s preferred option to add more ball-winning ability and solidity to their midfield.

Chelsea had reportedly agreed a deal worth £47 million for Camara during the summer, but Monaco are now believed to want a higher fee if they are to consider selling him in January.
The London club could also face competition from Crystal Palace, Brighton and Newcastle, who are reportedly interested in the midfielder.
Camara has continued to feature for Monaco since the summer transfer window closed, and his performances could influence the French club’s asking price in January.
Chelsea will therefore have to decide whether to return with an improved offer as they look to strengthen their midfield during the second half of the season.
