The Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reshuffled some of his aides and approved new appointments to head key government boards and agencies in the state.
Under the changes, Femi Fadairo has been appointed Special Adviser on Special Duties and Strategy, replacing Gani Mohammed, who has been redeployed as Special Adviser on Mines and Mineral Resources.
The appointments were contained in a statement issued in Akure on Friday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, with the changes taking immediate effect.
For the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board, Brown Ademilegun was appointed full-time chairman, while Christopher Olorunfemi and Dr Olarewaju Oyelade were named full-time members.
Other members include Tayo Fayanju, Maurice Oripelaye, representing the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, and Comrade Ayodele Samuel Leke of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, who were appointed part-time members alongside other statutory members.
Segun Ayerin was also appointed chairman of the Ondo State Local Government Service Commission, with Bunmi Eniayewu, Ogbaro Oyerinde, Ronke Ojo and Alonge Dennis as full-time members.
The governor also approved new leadership for the state’s welfare boards, appointing Adam Chandy as chairman of the Muslim Welfare Board and Peter Abimbola as chairman of the Christian Welfare Board.
Oluyemi Fashipe was appointed chairman of the Ondo State Consumer Protection Agency.
Aiyedatiwa charged the appointees to justify the confidence placed in them by demonstrating commitment, transparency and dedication to serving the people of the state.
