SOCIAL Democratic Party, SDP presidential candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo, has described the late former National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, as a visionary leader who dedicated his life to the development of Nigeria and Africa.

Adebayo,‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‌ who extolled the sterling qualities of the former governor of old Gongola State, while reacting to his demise on Saturday, paid glowing tribute to Tukur’s extensive public service career.

He highlighted his administrative acumen, contributions to national politics and trailblazing work in indigenous shipping and regional economic integration through the New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD).

Also reflecting on their professional intersections, Adebayo noted that he had the personal privilege of working alongside the late politician on critical national initiatives, including private sector investments in Adamawa and collaborative governance frameworks.

”Nigeria has lost an experienced leader and statesman of remarkable accomplishment,” he remarked.

The SDP presidential candidate emphasised that Tukur’s lifelong commitment to public administration and business development would remain firmly etched in the nation’s history.

He extended his deepest condolences to the Tukur family, the government and people of Adamawa and all citizens mourning the loss of the elder statesman.

Adebayo prayed God to grant the family and loved ones the strength and comfort to bear the painful loss, and grant the deceased eternal rest. (NAN)
