The news broke late on Monday night when multiple local news outlets reported, citing court records, that Tyler Boebert was charged with five counts of felony child sexual exploitation. The incident occurred more than two years ago, and among the alleged evidence was also a video.

Colorado Public Radio reported that the incident occurred on January 1, 2024. The charges are: sexual exploitation of a child with enticement; sexual exploitation of a child and possession of child sexual abuse material with the intent to distribute; sexual exploitation of a child with video; contributing to the delinquency of a minor (two counts).

More details are expected to be out when Tyler appears in court in Colorado on August 19, Wednesday.

Details Of Allegations Against Tyler Boebert

According to Colorado Public Radio, Tyler Boebert is accused of having sexual intercourse with a girl under 18 and recording and distributing it. The report states, citing the arrest affidavit, that police were led to Tyler Boebert via a Safe2Tell report claiming that intimate videos of teens had been posted on a newly created Instagram account.

A total of 16 videos and images were shared on the account, and one of them is of Tyler Boebert, then 18, having sexual intercourse with the girl – reportedly 11 months younger than Boebert. Boebert allegedly recorded the video and distributed it, as a result of which it found its way to the Instagram account, the affidavit states, per CPR. The affidavit alleges that Tyler Boebert “caused, induced and enticed a child to be used in explicit sexual conduct for the making of sexually exploitative material.”
