The new hairdo that President Donald Trump unveiled recently revealed something startling about his mental decline, according to the president’s niece.
Mary Trump, a psychologist and author, said during a recent interview on the “Deep State Radio” podcast with hosts Riley Fessler and political expert David Rothkopf, global affairs columnist for The Daily Beast, that the fluffy new coif that Trump sported during a rally in Las Vegas harkened back to her grandfather’s battle with alzheimers. Mary Trump shared a portion of the interview on her Substack, “The Good In Us.”
“Is Donald really having ideas these days? His brain doesn’t seem to be functioning particularly well anymore. I don’t know what you thought of his new wig, but I found it very fetching,” Rothkopf asked.
Mary Trump’s answer was astonishing.
“Actually, it reminds me of a family story,” she said. “My grandfather started losing his hair when he was about fifteen years old. It bothered him for most of his life, but he carried that receding hairline into his eighties and honestly looked perfectly fine.”
“As his Alzheimer’s disease progressed, however, and he became increasingly disconnected from reality, he suddenly decided he needed a truly awful toupee,” she noted. “So when I saw Donald’s latest hairstyle, my immediate reaction was, ‘Oh my God, that’s my grandfather.’ Apparently, bad toupees really do run in the family.”
Questions have swirled about Trump’s health throughout the second administration. Health concerns were recently renewed when the president was seen with bruising on one of his hands during a public appearance at a LIV Golf event at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
