Nigerian music executive Soso Soberekon has offered Peter Okoye of the former Afrobeats duo P-Square ₦500 million to face his twin brother, Paul Okoye, in a celebrity boxing match.
Soso made the offer during a performance by Peter on Sunday night.
A video circulating on social media showed Soso standing among the crowd and raising his phone towards Peter while the singer was performing on stage.
The message displayed on Soso’s phone read:
“500 Million Naira to fight your twin in a boxing match.”
The unusual offer comes amid the long-running dispute between Peter and Paul, who were formerly members of the popular music duo P-Square.
The brothers have been involved in disagreements over their music business and financial affairs, with the situation becoming increasingly public in recent years.
Peter had previously accused Paul and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, of allegedly diverting music royalties.
The latest ₦500 million boxing proposal has therefore attracted attention online, with fans reacting to the possibility of the estranged twins settling their differences in a celebrity fight.
It remains unclear whether Peter has accepted Soso’s offer or whether Paul has agreed to participate in the proposed boxing match.
