Nigerian TikTok star Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, has warned Nollywood producers and skitmakers against giving his newly married wife, Jarvis, kissing or romantic roles involving male actors.
Peller issued the warning during a recent livestream, explaining that he considers such roles disrespectful to their marriage.
According to the content creator, he does not want Jarvis to participate in romantic scenes with other male actors now that they are officially married.
“Nollywood producers, you can see that Jarvis and I are now married. Don’t ever give her a kissing role. I don’t want her acting in romantic roles with any actor. I am warning you all, stay in your lane.”
Peller further stressed that producers should take his warning seriously, adding that he would take action against anyone who ignored it.
“To be forewarned is to be forearmed. I will harm anyone who refuses to heed my warning,” he stated.
His comments have generated reactions online, with discussions focusing on marriage, professional acting roles and the boundaries couples should establish in the entertainment industry.
Peller and Jarvis, who are both prominent content creators, recently formalised their relationship after years of publicly sharing their journey with fans.
While Peller has made his position clear regarding his wife’s romantic acting roles, it remains to be seen whether the couple will establish specific boundaries concerning Jarvis’ future professional projects.
