Real estate entrepreneur King Mohamed Adah, known as King Ochacho, has described the ₦400 million mansion he gifted to online content creator Habeeb Hamzat, known as Peller, and his wife, Elizabeth Amadou, known as Jarvis, as insignificant, calling it “small money.”
Ochacho made the comments during a livestream on social media on Monday, two days after the couple’s wedding in Lagos, insisting the gift meant little to him and his children.
He said that as far as he, his son Ice King, and his brand, Ochacho Real Estate, were concerned, ₦400 million was equivalent to a negligible sum, describing it as small money and confirming that it was indeed what they had chosen to give.
Explaining his decision to gift the couple, the entrepreneur said Peller has a good heart, and that whenever they give, they believe God replenishes and doubles what they have as a result.
He told Peller that the house would be the smallest gift he would ever give him, hinting that his next gift would be so significant it would draw comparisons to powering the entire country, and urged the couple not to worry, as the mansion was only the beginning.
During the livestream, Ochacho also announced plans to sponsor the education of selected students to mark his son Ice King’s birthday.
He explained that beneficiaries with genuine school accounts would have their fees paid directly to their institutions.
He disclosed that his elder son, King, is 15, while Ice King is about to turn 13, and said that anyone yet to pay their school fees could submit their school’s direct account details, with a select number of people across the country to have their fees settled on Ice King’s birthday, which falls on Thursday.
He added that they were fully prepared and eager to fulfil the gesture.
While presenting the gift at the wedding ceremony, the founder of Ochacho Real Homes announced, on behalf of his children, a brand-new house worth ₦400 million in Abuja for the couple, congratulating Peller as the announcement drew applause from guests and quickly went viral online.
The wedding was attended by several celebrities, content creators and other guests, including actresses Iyabo Ojo and Eniola Badmus, social media influencer Nons Miraj, singer Zinoleesky, actress Papaya Ex, content creator Cute Abiola, socialite Soso Soberekon, influencer Purple Speedy, and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.
The gift fulfilled a promise Ochacho had earlier made to Peller months before, during the wedding of music executive Soso Soberekon, where he had pledged financial support for the online personality’s wedding.
