STAFF of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Lagos Operations, on Saturday participated in a symbolic walk to promote healthy living, wellness and teamwork among members of staff.

The exercise which has as its theme “Let’s Walk for a Better Tomorrow”, commenced at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, with staff dressed in their official regalia, walking to the agency’s office complex.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the walk attracted a large turnout of staff, creating an atmosphere of unity and camaraderie as participants moved along the designated route.

On arrival at the office complex, the participants engaged in light exercises, accompanied by music and entertainment, as part of the wellness programme.
The event also featured a raffle draw, with 10 participants winning N10,000 each.
In the major prize categories, Somoye Kayode won N50,000, Kolawole Ayodele received N70,000, while Rose Okudaye emerged winner of the N100,000 prize.

NAN reports that the Managing Director of the agency, Ali Mohammed Ali, joined the staff in the exercise alongside other top executive officers.
Their participation, according to organisers, underscored the importance attached to wellness and healthy living, while providing an opportunity for interaction between management and staff outside the office environment.

Former senior officers of the agency, including, Mr Ali Hakeem, Mr Isaac Ighure, Mr Goddy Ike and the current Editor-In-Chief, Mr Mufutau Ojo, also participated in the exercise.
Speaking during the event, the Head of Lagos Operations, Ifeyinwa Omowole, expressed satisfaction with the turnout and participation of staff.

Omowole described the participation as a demonstration of the staff members commitment to health and wellness.
She commended the support of partners, including Alpha Designs, Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Ltd., KAZI Healthcare and the National Emergency Management Agency, for their contributions toward the success of the exercise.

She said the walk was not only about physical fitness but also about promoting teamwork, healthy living and a positive workplace culture.
NAN reports that the event provided an opportunity for past and present members of the agency to interact and promote unity while reinforcing the importance of maintaining a healthy and active workforce. (NAN)(
