A 23-year-old female student of the Nigerian Law School at the institution’s hostel in Victoria Island, Lagos, who was found “unresponsive” on the grounds of the hostel has left some unanswered questions as to the circumstances surrounding her death.
The student Alayande Faith Ajoke, who was found lying on the grounds of her hostel in the early hours of Friday, August 7.
Alerted by the deceased’s roommate around 4:30 a.m., the school’s Chief Matron discovered Ajoke unresponsive and formally notified the Victoria Island Police Division at 6:30 a.m.
Early evidence indicates Ajoke may have fallen from the rooftop of the four-story hostel, with detectives recovering two notes addressed to her stepfather and roommate.
Police investigators have photographed and processed the scene, and her body has been transferred to the Mainland General Hospital Mortuary in Yaba for autopsy while the probe continues.
Police stated that an investigation remains ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the student’s death.
Meanwhile, school authority has yet to issue a statement on the student’s mysterious death.
