Kano police arrests three robbers, recover four stolen tricycles

The Kano State Police Command has arrested three suspected armed robbers and recovered four stolen tricycles and a vehicle allegedly linked to theft.

The arrests followed intelligence-led operations aimed at disrupting criminal activities and recovering property reportedly stolen from residents.

The command said the operations were strengthened by cooperation between security agencies in Kano and their counterparts in other states.

The development was disclosed by the Kano State Police Command in a statement posted on its X page on Wednesday.

According to the command, the recovered vehicles have been secured as investigations continue to establish their ownership and the circumstances surrounding their alleged theft.

Detectives are also working to determine whether the suspects are linked to a wider network involved in stealing and transporting vehicles across state boundaries.

The police described the arrests and recoveries as another outcome of its intelligence-driven approach to tackling crime, stressing that cooperation among security agencies across jurisdictions remains essential in combating criminal networks.

The command assured residents that it would sustain efforts to protect lives and property while disrupting activities linked to theft and other crimes.

It also urged members of the public to remain vigilant and provide credible information that could assist security agencies in preventing crime and apprehending suspects.

The police said public cooperation would help investigators obtain useful intelligence and strengthen ongoing efforts to make communities safer.
