A Magistrate’s Court in Kano State has remanded a man identified as Abdul’aziz in a correctional facility over the alleged assault of a 75-year-old hospital worker.
Abdul’aziz was accused of attacking Sahura Kura after she stopped him from entering the maternity ward at Kura General Hospital in Kura, Kano State.
The suspect was arraigned before Magistrate Muhammad Isah on Monday by the police prosecutor, Inspector Nasiru Dansakkwato.
When the charge was read to him, Abdul’aziz pleaded guilty to the allegation.
Following his plea, the magistrate ordered that he be remanded in a correctional facility pending further proceedings.
The court adjourned the case until September 17, 2026, for further consideration.
