The Enugu State University of Science of Technology has suspended three students of the Faculty of Law, Isong Ugwu, Gad Nwosu and Roseline Nnamani, two years, over offences of contravening the school’s regulation through examination malpractice.
The institution, in a statement, stated that the trio was directed to hand over any property belonging to the institution in their possession and vacate the school campus immediately, adding that the sponsors of the students have been informed about the development.
The school informed that the enforcement which took effect from June 25, 2026 would run until June 24, 2028, further stating that the affected students would be required to apply for re-admission following the expiration of the suspension.
In a separate memos addressed to the students on Monday, the university’s Registrar, Ambrose Ugwu, said that the Vice-Chancelor, Aloysius Okolie, approved the sanctions, warning the school’s student to desist from the act or be prepared to face necessary sanctions.
The school also noted that another student, Goodluck Iwuamadi, also of the Faculty of Law, was also alleged to have indulged but was exonerated in line with the recommendations of the Senate Examination Malpractice Committee.
