The Yoruba community in Zhidu Airport Road under the Abuja Municipal Area Council has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027.
Speaking with journalists Tuesday after consultation with elders, youth leaders, women groups and stakeholders, Oba Victor Bolarinwa Oyewole, said the council has resolved that continuity of the current administration is in the best interest of the Zhidu community, the Federal Capital Territory and Nigeria at large.
He stated the reason for the endorsement as infrastructural development which the Renewed Hope Agenda has brought to the FCT, including road projects, health facilities, education and skills empowerment.
Oba Oyewole also stated that the economic reform policies aimed at stabilising the economy, supporting farmers, traders and SMEs embarked upon by the present administration should be allowed to be completed through the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike.
He noted further that the Tinubu’s leadership has shown courage by taking difficult but necessary decisions for long-term prosperity, stressing that stopping midway will jeopardise the gains already recorded.
He called on sons and daughters of Zhidu community to rally support for PBAT in 2027 and urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and all political stakeholders to ensure a free, fair and peaceful electoral process.
