FIFA has suspended the enforcement of a match ban imposed on Folarin Balogun for 12 months, making the striker immediately eligible for club and international selection.
The world football governing body said the decision was taken under Article 27 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code, which allows certain sanctions to be suspended during a probationary period.

Under the ruling, Balogun will remain available for selection throughout the one-year suspension period. However, FIFA warned that if he commits another offence of a similar nature and seriousness during that time, the suspended ban will automatically be enforced, in addition to any new disciplinary sanctions.
The decision gives the forward the opportunity to continue playing without interruption, provided he complies with FIFA’s disciplinary regulations during the probationary period.
