President Bola Tinubu has commended the Kogi State Government for the progress recorded in improving security and advancing infrastructure development, urging Governor Ahmed Ododo to sustain the momentum for the benefit of the people.
The President gave the commendation after receiving Governor Ododo at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where the governor briefed him on the security situation in the state and ongoing development efforts, particularly in tackling banditry and terrorism through collaboration with the Federal Government.
Ododo also expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for his continued support and interventions, which he said have accelerated development across key sectors, including infrastructure, security and the economy.
According to a statement issued on Thursday, the governor commended the President’s commitment to improving the welfare of Kogi residents through sustained investments in critical sectors.
He noted that the partnership between the Federal Government and the Kogi State Government has strengthened efforts to restore peace and protect lives and property across the state.
Ododo said Kogi had recorded significant gains in the fight against insecurity, attributing the successes to the close collaboration between both governments in combating banditry and terrorism.
Responding, President Tinubu praised the governor for the progress achieved in security and development, urging him to remain focused on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
The President also encouraged Ododo to sustain the state’s ongoing transformation, stressing the need to consolidate existing achievements and build a stronger foundation for future generations.
