President Bola Tinubu has appointed Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, to the position of Nigeria’s ambassador to South Africa, Lesotho and Eswatini.
Fani-Kayode got the nod to the position following the presentation of his letters of credence, the development announced in a post on his Facebook page in which he thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the confidence reposed in him to getting the role.
The designee was presented with the letter of credence yesterday by the Minister of State For Foreign Affairs, Sola Enikanolaiye, stating that is now expected to proceed to Pretoria to present his letters to President South Africa President, Cyril Ramaphosa, and commence his assignment.
“Honored to have received my letters of credence to serve as the High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of South Africa, the Kingdom of Lesotho and the Kingdom of Eswatini yesterday,” Fani-Kayode wrote.
“I thank God for the opportunity to serve my nation once again after being appointed as Minister of Aviation 20 years ago almost to the day! My gratitude goes to our leader President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I covet the prayers of all men and women of goodwill. The Lord alone shall take the glory for this and He shall do great things.”
