Third Estate Hails Tinubu Over Approval of Nigerian Army 9 Division Headquarters in Ilorin
The Third Estate Ilorin Emirate has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the establishment of the Nigerian Army 9 Division Headquarters in Ilorin, describing the decision as a strategic milestone that will strengthen security operations in Kwara State and the North Central region.
In a statement signed by its President, Mallam Ahmed Ladan Gobir, and made available by the organisation’s Public Relations Officer, Mallam Nasir Abdulquadri, the group said the approval underscores the President’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture and safeguarding lives and property across the country.
According to the statement, the establishment of the new Army division headquarters reflects a leadership that is responsive to the nation’s security challenges and committed to ensuring peace, safety and stability for all Nigerians.
The organisation noted that the military formation is expected to enhance operational coordination, improve rapid response to emerging security threats and reinforce ongoing efforts to combat banditry, kidnapping, terrorism and other criminal activities in Kwara State and neighbouring parts of the North Central zone.
“The establishment of the Nigerian Army 9 Division Headquarters in Ilorin is a strategic milestone that will reinforce national security operations, enhance military coordination, improve rapid response to emerging threats and further strengthen the fight against banditry, kidnapping, terrorism and other criminal activities within Kwara State and the North Central region,” the statement said.
The Third Estate Ilorin Emirate also acknowledged the role of the Kwara State Government in supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing security and promoting the welfare of residents.
The organisation expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for what it described as the historic approval, expressing confidence that the development would not only strengthen public confidence in security but also stimulate economic activities and contribute to sustainable peace and development in the state.
It also prayed for continued wisdom, good health and divine guidance for the President as he steers the affairs of the country toward greater peace, unity and prosperity.
