Liverpool midfielder, Dominik Szoboszlai, has extended his contract spell with the Premier League Club till 2031 ahead of the commencement of the 2026/27 season.
The Merseyside based side announced that sequel to discussions with Szoboalai, the Hungarian international penned a new five-year deal despite a pending two years remaining on his current contract, adding that it is pleased with the extension as the player has become an integral and increasingly influential player since he joined from Bundesliga club, RB Leipzig, in 2023, with performances which helped the side win the Premier League in the 2024/25 season, as well as the club’s Player of the Season during the 2025/26 campaign.
”It maybe my biggest day,” the utility player said after the deal was completed on Friday.
”There are a couple in front of it, probably when I signed for Liverpool, the first one, and when I got my baby, of course. But in my football career, I can say this is in the top three.
”Very happy. I can’t wait to go again and again and again and again, I’m just happy to be here, as I said many times.”
When asked about his targets following the signing, he said, ”When I signed I said I want ton win everything. That didn’t change for a little moment either. It stayed the same, I want to win everything that is possible in this country, also lets say the Champions League. I’m ready for it.”
To date, Szoboszlai has made 147 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions, scoring 28 times, one which claimed the club’s Goal of the Season during the 2025/26 campaign.
He delivered his highest individual output for the Reds during the past campaign, tallying 13 goals and 12 assists from 53 matches.
