Real Madrid Eye Yan Diomande After Mourinho’s Transfer Request

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly identified RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande as one of his priority transfer targets ahead of the new season.

The reported recommendation comes as the Spanish giants continue efforts to strengthen their attacking options, with Diomande emerging as a key name on the club’s shortlist.

According to reports, Real Madrid have already submitted an offer worth £85 million, made up of £75 million in guaranteed fees and £10 million in performance-related add-ons, for the Ivory Coast international.

The proposed move underlines the club’s determination to reinforce its frontline with younger and quicker attacking talent.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also reported that Mourinho has approved the move, believing the squad needs additional pace and energy in the final third.

In a post on X, Romano said Mourinho informed the Real Madrid hierarchy that he wants “even more speed” and fresh legs in attack as preparations continue for the new campaign.

Should the deal go through, Diomande would become one of Real Madrid’s biggest signings of the transfer window and add another exciting option to the club’s attacking unit.

Neither Real Madrid nor RB Leipzig has officially confirmed the reported bid or any agreement for the player’s transfer.

The coming days are expected to determine whether negotiations progress toward a formal deal.
