The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara state has constituted a five-man committee to reconcile leaders and members of the party over misunderstanding that arose from the outcome of the May 2026 primary elections of the ruling party.
Speaking with journalists in Ilorin Thursday, chairman of the committee, retired Colonel AbdulWahab Ademola Lawal, flanked by other members of the team, appealed to aggrieved members of the party to embrace dialogue and reconciliation following disagreements arising from the party’s primary elections.
“We appeal to all aggrieved members to open their hearts and minds for a warm and welcoming reception with a view to finding lasting solutions to this family predicament,” Lawal told a news conference in Ilorin.
The chairman of the reconciliation committee said the task is daunting, however, expressed joy that no party to the ensuing misunderstanding had jettisoned the party, saying that, “it is a family feud.”
