The Ondo state Police Command has commenced a full-scale investigation following the discovery of the mutilated body of an unidentified woman along Barracks Road, near the GRA Roundabout in Ondo, Ondo state.
The command said the incident was reported on Monday, about 9:40 a.m. Upon receiving the report, police operatives were immediately deployed to the scene.
The officers discovered the headless body of a female victim. Preliminary observations also revealed that several parts of the body had been mutilated
The command said investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the killing, establish the identity of the deceased, uncover the motive behind the crime, and apprehend those responsible.
Condemning the gruesome act, the Ondo state Police Command assured members of the public that every effort would be made to bring the perpetrators to justice.
