The Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral Abdullahi Abubakar Mustapha, has reaffirmed the Nigerian Navy’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with Hitech Construction Company Limited to enhance national development, infrastructure protection and maritime security.
Rear Admiral Mustapha gave the assurance during a courtesy visit to the Managing Director of Hitech Construction Company Limited, Mr. Dany Abboud, at the company’s headquarters in Lagos on Tuesday.
He was accompanied by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Adebayo Babalola.
The FOC commended Hitech Construction for its significant contributions to Nigeria’s infrastructure development, economic growth and job creation.
He also praised the company’s commitment to social inclusion and its continued investment in projects that support national development.
Mustapha assured the company’s management that the Nigerian Navy would continue to provide the necessary security for its personnel, equipment and critical infrastructure against criminal activities.
He stressed that the Navy remained committed to deepening its partnership with Hitech in the collective interest of national development and maritime security.
Also speaking, Major General Babalola underscored the importance of sustained collaboration between the military and operators of critical national infrastructure.
The GOC assured the company of the Nigerian Army’s continued support in maintaining a secure operational environment, adding that the Army would continue to strengthen its partnership with Hitech to ensure the successful delivery of strategic infrastructure projects across the country.
In his response, the Managing Director of Hitech Construction Company Limited, Mr. Dany Abboud, expressed appreciation to the senior military officers for the visit and commended both the Nigerian Navy and the Nigerian Army for their unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s maritime and land domains.
Abboud described the relationship between Hitech and the Armed Forces as cordial, productive and mutually beneficial, noting that the company’s ability to execute major infrastructure projects depends largely on a safe and secure operating environment.
