The 17th emir of Lafia Justice Sidi Muhammad Bage 1 (rtd). has appointed Musa Bage as the new Galadiman Lafia.
Announcing the appointment at the emir’s palace in Lafia, Friday, emir Sidi Bage called on the newly appointed Galadima to serve with integrity, humility and compassion.
The announcement followed the demise of the late Galadiman Lafia Muhammad Jibrin Mamman-Ladi, who died on 8th July 8, 2026, at the age of 95 after a brief illness.
The emir said the new Galadiman Lafia had demonstrated unwavering loyalty to the emirate.
“May God bless you and guide you in discharging your duties,” he said.
The appointment was done in line with the administrative charges of the local government system with its drive to contribute meaningfully to the development of the council, Blueprint.ng reports.
The emir further charged the new Galadima to use his wealth of experience to move the council forward by contributing positively to its development and the state at large.
While appreciating the gesture, Bage thanked the emir for finding him fit and capable to serve the emirate council, and promised not to fail the emir, Galadima family and entire emirates.
Musa Bage who was born on December 20, 1974, said, “I will not fail the emir neither would I fail the entire emirate council, I will discharge my responsibilities in the best way I can to justify the confidence reposed on me and to see that the confidence have not been abused in whatever way.”
