“I didn’t want to sound like an insecure wife” – Woman Says
According to the woman, her husband returned home smelling of what she described as a feminine perfume.
Although she became suspicious, she said she ignored it because she did not want to sound insecure.
However, while doing the laundry, she searched through the clothes he had taken off and discovered two items that deepened her suspicions.
“My husband got home last night all smelling feminine. That’s not his perfume. I didn’t want to sound like an insecure wife, I just kept my cool. So the cloths he took off I carried to put in washing machine I was already washing cloths when he got inside. I saw cd inside the pack but the main one they use isn’t inside. I came inside and found receipts of a hotel. He spent 360k, “ she wrote.
Husband explains ₦360k hotel receipt
The woman said she confronted her husband, but he told her the hotel stay was covered by a voucher he allegedly received from MTN.
She said:
“So I asked him. He said, ‘Do you remember on Saturday when I told you I was going to the MTN office?’ I said yes. He said they were the ones who gave him the voucher to cash out money, but it could only be used to lodge in a hotel. I asked him why he didn’t tell me, and he said he was trying to see if they could return some money, but when he got there, they told him it could only be used to lodge.”
Husband responds to condom discovery
The woman further questioned her husband about the condom wrapper she allegedly found.
Her husband reportedly claimed that an MTN manager had given it to him to dispose of on his way out, but he forgot to throw it away.
“I brought out the condom wrapper and asked him about it. He said an MTN manager gave it to him to throw away on his way out, but he forgot. I am now confused about what to believe,” she stated.
Woman seeks answers from MTN workers
The woman appealed to people familiar with MTN’s customer reward programmes to clarify whether such hotel vouchers exist.
“I am now confused about what to believe. Who works at MTN, please? Is there anything like a voucher for loyal customers? I am so worried,” she wrote.
The post has since gone viral, attracting mixed reactions from social media users.
