Influencer Lorna has explained why she has stopped wearing her wedding ring following the death of her late husband, John.
The Fabulous columnist, who recently dropped “Luxe” from her name, addressed the matter during a Q&A session on her Instagram stories after a fan asked why she no longer wears the ring.
Responding, Lorna explained that she has placed all her diamonds in a safety deposit box, a decision she said was made at John’s request to keep her safe.
She admitted she is uncertain whether she will wear them again while continuing to live her life so publicly, noting that the pieces hold precious memories she would be devastated to lose.
Before settling on “Lorna,” her original handle choice, she had opted for “Lorna Looks” after finding it unavailable, before later evolving into “Luxe,” a name inspired by the personalised number plate on her car.
Dropping “Luxe” was meant to symbolise a new chapter in her career, a decision she and John had discussed before his passing.
John, who featured on Lorna’s Instagram page on several occasions, was initially diagnosed with stage three cancer, which progressed to stage four while he was undergoing treatment.
Lorna kept her followers informed throughout his illness, and they rallied around her when he went into remission in November 2023.
However, his cancer returned in May 2024 and spread to his brain. Just before Christmas 2025, he was rushed back to hospital with organ failure following a complication with his treatment, and Lorna was advised to prepare for the worst.
John, however, defied the odds and recovered enough to spend Christmas at home, before passing away in February this year.
Lorna has since been open about her grief, both on social media and in her interviews with Fabulous.
