Harrowing 911 call reveals NJ dad’s desperate pleas after wife found butchered — as cops still have no suspect
Harrowing audio of a 911 call captures the husband of slain New Jersey psychotherapist Brooke Hanlon pleading for help after he found his wife knifed to death inside their home last month — as investigators continue to hunt for the killer.
James “Conor” Hanlon placed a frantic call to authorities around 4:30 p.m. on June 6 after he discovered his 35-year-old wife unconscious and butchered on the floor of their Chester, NJ, home, Fox News Digital reported.
“I just found my wife [inaudible] CPR, I need CPR instructions,” the distraught husband begged, according to the call obtained by the outlet.
“I need you here. I need you here immediately,” the distressed dad pleaded with the 911 operator.
When asked if his wife was bleeding and unconscious, the 36-year-old, who goes by “Conor,” can be heard screaming, “No!”
“Oh, oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god,” Conor Hanlon can be heard saying while hyperventilating.
During the 13-minute call, a dispatcher made a “suspicious death” note on the file, according to Fox News Digital.
A previously obtained Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) log of the 911 call made from the home in the ritzy suburban neighborhood on June 6 was initially reported as a “Cardiac or Respiratory Arrest,” the outlet reported.
Though the dispatcher later informed responding units that the 911 caller “did advise that they have a large laceration on the breast,” according to dispatch audio obtained by People.
Brooke Hanlon tragically died at the scene of her NJ residence — which is located roughly 40 miles west of New York City.
The Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the mother’s death a homicide by multiple sharp-force injuries.
There have been no arrests and no suspects identified in the case. Conor Hanlon has not been charged with a crime or accused of any wrongdoing.
The widow has engaged with a lawyer and has been cooperating with investigators, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office previously said.
The married couple met at college in Boston before moving back to their Garden State hometown in 2023, according to People.
The pair welcomed their first and only child together in July last year, the outlet reported.
The couple’s child is staying with family, while Conor Hanlon was spotted in Brighton, Massachusetts, by Fox News Digital.
Court records indicated that the dad has no prior arrests or criminal activity.
