SOME of the restive youths in the country are being repositioned to positively channel their energies through different sporting activities.
Highlighted by a group of young professionals under the aegis of Young Professionals For Tinubu, YP4T, this group, a non-profit and non-governmental organisation is made up of professionals from different walks of life.
According to the statement by its national coordinator, Alex Oware, YP4T had been at the forefront of promoting the image of Nigeria, on different platforms and across the globe in the last five years.
Impressed by President Bola Tinubu’s efforts in using sports to give a new lease of life to young Nigerians, the group said: “This government is definitely intentional about its desires to make life better for the average Nigerian citizen, particularly, the youths. Recently, Nigerian athletes have begun to show their great potentials in sports and of course, flying the country’s flag higher.
“We must once again commend President Bola Tinubu, for making the restive and highly impressionable Nigerian youth see and believe in a better tomorrow. PBAT has definitely repositioned sports for greater development, with the timely appointments of Shehu Dikko and Bukola Olopade, as Chairman and Director-General of the National Sports Commission, respectively.”
The statement added that the signs of a better sports ecosystem is becoming clearer and “aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu”.
“Once again, at this important point of our national life, we want to implore all Nigerians to remain steadfastly patriotic and give unalloyed support to this present government, as it continues to navigate Nigeria to safer waters,” the statement said.
