A farmer identified only as Mansir has reportedly been k!lled by suspected b@ndits while working on his farmland in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
The incident was made known through a post shared on social media on Monday by a security analyst.
According to the post, the b@ndits struck on Monday morning, k!lling the local farmer while he was tending to his farm in Isa LGA of Sokoto State, Nigeria.
The security analyst noted that the k!lling has deepened fears among residents of rural communities, where many farmers continue to grapple with security threats even as they try to cultivate their land.
The analyst further questioned who would feed the nation if farmers could no longer work safely on their fields, and wondered when the recurring cycle of violence would finally come to an end.
