A week after he was shot dead by yet-to-be-identified gunmen, the Lagos State Secretary of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Toba Ajiboye, popularly known as Toba Ijaya, was laid to rest by family members, friends and associates.
Ajiboye was buried seven days after he was pronounced dead at St. Nicholas Hospital on Lagos Island, where he was rushed after being shot by unknown gunmen along Ikorodu Road in Lagos.
The slain NURTW secretary was bid farewell by family members, friends, associates and union members at his burial in the Ketu area of the state, bringing to a close the funeral rites for the transport leader whose killing sent shockwaves through the transport community in Lagos.
