The Emir of Ilorin and life patron of the Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria (AISN), Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has charged the new national executive council of the society to uphold the ideals and legacies of its founder, Sheikh Muhammad Kamaldeen Al-Adaby.
The emir gave the charge when he received the newly elected national executives of the society during a courtesy and familiarisation visit to his palace in Ilorin, Kwara state.
He urged the new leadership to remain committed to the propagation of Islam, promotion of moral values and selfless service to humanity, adding that the principles remain the bedrock upon which Ansarul Islam was founded.
The royal father said Wednesday that unity, dedication and exemplary leadership are essential to advancing the objectives of the society, adding that Allah would continue to guide and strengthen the new executives in the discharge of their responsibilities.
The emir also prayed for wisdom, strength and success for the leadership team as they steer the affairs of one of Nigeria’s foremost Islamic organisations.
The newly elected national president of the society, Alhaji Sarafadeen Alabelewe, thanked the emir for his fatherly support, guidance and prayers.
