The Bayelsa State chapter of the All Progressives Party, APC, has partnered with over 500 Non Government Organization, NGO, groups to strengthen its grassroot support structure ahead of the 2027 general election and beyond.
The body held a registration exercise for the registerees in a move to formally integrate support organizations into the party’s activities and build a reliable database for better coordination and engagement.
The Youth Leader, Abi Morris, disclosed during the unveiling of the organizations at the Party’s Secretariat in Yenogoa on Friday, said that the online enumeration exercise would be held continually till July 31, encouraging those yet to register to do so before the deadline.
Morris claimed that the programme was held in a free and transparent manner to strengthen APC’s inclusive and participatory structure.
”A united and well-organized support base in critical to achieving the party’s objectives and advancing President Ahmed Tinbu’s Renewed Hope Agenda,” he said.
The forum reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots mobilisation across Bayelsa and pledged to work with the Office of the State Youth Leader to boost support for President Bola Tinubu and APC candidates in future elections.
The registration of support groups comes as Nigerian political parties increasingly rely on grassroots structures, youth networks and community-based organisations to drive campaigns, improve voter engagement and build stronger party structures ahead of upcoming elections.
