According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the collapse of the Rogers deal has left Arsenal scrambling to find a left-sided attacker. Romano noted that the speed of Chelsea’s acquisition was a shock to the north London club.
“Big surprise he goes to Chelsea; there will be consequences in the market for Arsenal, for sure. It’s a big shock they didn’t expect this to happen,” Romano stated.
Consequently, Arsenal have made initial exploratory contacts with Diomande’s representatives to understand if they can enter the deal.
