TOKUNBO Alli, the Managing Director of Leadway Health, on Tuesday described the 2026 Health Maintenance Organisation (HMO) award as a validation of the company’s commitment.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the recognition marks the company’s fourth consecutive win in the HMO category at the Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Awards (NHEA).
The award highlights Leadway Health’s sustained performance in Nigeria’s healthcare sector, particularly in service delivery and innovation.
Alli, in a statement, said the recognition reflected Leadway Health’s focus on innovation, operational excellence and quality healthcare delivery.
“Winning HMO of the Year for the fourth consecutive year is a powerful affirmation that excellence is not a one-time achievement,” Alli said.
He added that the feat was achieved through deliberate and sustained efforts across the organisation.
“Being consistently recognised by the industry validates our focus on innovation, operational excellence and delivering meaningful value to our members,” he said.
Alli dedicated the award to Leadway Health’s customers, healthcare partners and employees who contributed to the achievement.
“This recognition belongs to our customers, who have entrusted us with their health, and our provider partners nationwide,” he said.
He also praised employees for their commitment toward creating exceptional healthcare experiences for members.
The managing director said the award would encourage the company to continue improving healthcare accessibility across Nigeria.
“While we are proud of this milestone, it challenges us to keep raising the standard for healthcare investments,” Alli said.
He said Leadway Health, a subsidiary of Leadway Group, would continue developing solutions that make quality healthcare more accessible and efficient.
Alli noted that the recognition reinforced the company’s position as one of Nigeria’s leading health insurers.
He said the company remained committed to expanding access through innovative insurance solutions and preventive healthcare.
According to him, Leadway Health has continued strengthening its healthcare ecosystem through strategic investments.
He said the company had invested in digital health solutions, including telemedicine and improved care coordination services.
Alli added that the innovations were designed to enhance members’ experiences and improve healthcare outcomes.
He said Leadway Health would continue partnering with providers, employers and policymakers to expand affordable healthcare access.
The managing director reaffirmed the company’s commitment to contributing to improved health outcomes nationwide. (NAN)
