The camp had reportedly been evacuated recently, and no casualties were reported in the incident, even as tensions remain high across multiple regional fronts linked to the US-Iran ceasefire framework and ongoing cross-border military activity.

The development comes amid continued instability in the region, including Israeli security operations in the West Bank and renewed diplomatic messaging from Pakistan highlighting its role in facilitating US-Iran negotiations under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.

Earlier, the Israeli military concluded a more than six-hour search operation in the West Bank settlement of Beit Aryeh after a suspected infiltration, giving residents the “all-clear” after troops found no suspects and confirmed there was no security threat.

In South Asia-linked diplomatic developments, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the country has emerged as a “peacemaker” following its involvement in facilitating a US-Iran agreement, with a 60-day roadmap now in place for further negotiations toward a final settlement.

Separately, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi thanked Pakistan for facilitating the return of 22 Iranian crew members aboard the Lenore/Davina, a vessel seized during the US blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, with the crew transferred to Karachi.

Iranian state media also reported that the port of Sirik in eastern Hormozgan remains fully operational with no damage following US strikes, while regional authorities confirmed that infrastructure and equipment were intact despite earlier reports of explosions.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has meanwhile denied reports of any direct communication channel with the United States over the Strait of Hormuz, calling such claims “pure fabrication” and reiterating that the waterway falls under Iranian sovereignty.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most important oil transit chokepoints, carrying a major share of global crude shipments. Any disruption in the region can affect oil prices, shipping costs, and global trade flows.
