Police in the United Kingdom have arrested three suspects in connection with the killing of British-Nigerian singer Mark Orabiyi, in a case that has prompted renewed appeals for public assistance as investigations continue.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed the arrests following the discovery of the 35-year-old musician’s body after he was fatally stabbed in East London. Officers said emergency services were called to the scene following reports of a violent assault, where Orabiyi was found with multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts by paramedics.
Authorities said the three suspects were taken into custody on suspicion of murder. While initial arrests were made shortly after the incident, police later confirmed that investigations remain ongoing and further inquiries are being carried out to establish the full circumstances surrounding the attack.
A second victim, a man in his 20s, was also injured in the incident and taken to hospital. Police said his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The Metropolitan Police have urged members of the public with information, CCTV footage, or dashcam recordings from the area at the time of the incident to come forward to assist the investigation.
Detectives say they are continuing to piece together events leading up to the fatal stabbing, while also reviewing forensic evidence and witness accounts.
The case has drawn attention across the UK music industry, where Orabiyi, also known professionally as Talay Riley, was known for his work as a songwriter and recording artist.
