ELECTORAL officers have commenced accreditation of voters in some polling units in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State during Saturday’s Ondo South by-election.
A check by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) to polling units 5, 7 and 8, Ikoya/Igbinsin-Oloto Ward, voters were seen checking their names while accreditation and voting were also ongoing simultaneously.
NAN reports that most of the polling units visited recorded low turnout of voters, while the voters were orderly as the INEC staff were performing their duties.
NAN also reports that officers of the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) were on ground to provide security. (NAN)
