SENATOR Seriake Dickson, national leader and chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has reaffirmed the commitment to the principles of responsible leadership, internal democracy, and merit-based representation.
Addressing members of the party and members of the media across the federation, the respected statesman emphasized that NDC remains a political movement that places capacity, competence, and integrity above every other consideration.
According to him, the strength of any political party lies in its ability to respect established leadership structures while creating opportunities for capable individuals to emerge and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
He noted that NDC is determined to build a political culture where merit takes precedence over favoritism, and where leadership positions are occupied by individuals with proven records of service and performance.
He further stated that the party’s vision for Nigeria is anchored on good governance, accountability, and people-oriented policies. The senator stressed that NDC is committed to identifying and supporting leaders who possess the experience, competence, and character necessary to address the numerous challenges facing the country.
Addressing party faithful nationwide on Arise TV Wednesday night, Senator Dickson urged members to remain united and focused on the collective mission of transforming Nigeria through credible leadership.
He commended the dedication of party supporters and stakeholders who continue to work tirelessly in strengthening the party’s structures across the federation.
The former governor also emphasized the importance of discipline, loyalty, and respect for party decisions, describing these values as essential ingredients for political success. He encouraged members to avoid actions capable of creating division within the party and instead work together to advance the shared aspirations of Nigerians.
As preparations gradually intensify towards future political engagements, Senator Dickson expressed confidence in the capacity of NDC to provide the leadership Nigerians desire. He maintained that the party’s unwavering commitment to competence, accountability, and democratic principles distinguishes it as a credible platform for national development and progress.
