A member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Jacob Kudu, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC), bringing an end to his membership of the ruling party.
Kudu, who represents Nasarawa Eggon East Constituency, said his decision was prompted by recent developments within the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a resignation letter dated June 11 and addressed to the APC Chairman of Ubbe Ward, the lawmaker formally communicated his decision to quit the party with immediate effect.
He expressed appreciation to the APC for the opportunity to serve alongside its members and stakeholders over the years, describing his time in the party as rewarding.
The lawmaker also thanked his supporters, political associates, and the people of Ubbe Ward for their loyalty, encouragement, and cooperation throughout his stay in the party.
Kudu, however, did not disclose his next political destination or indicate whether he intends to join another political party.
