Italian league club, Napoli, have announced the departure manager, Antonio Conte, after two seasons coaching the side.
Napoli disclosed that the Italian tactician’s contract was terminated on mutual consent after they both failed to reach agreement for him to manage the club next season, the club adding that it has begun search for a new manager.
”SSC Napoli announces that an agreement has been reached with Antonio Conte and his staff to part ways before the natural expiry of their contracts,” reads the club’s circular released on Thursday.
”We would like to thank the coach and back room team for their excellent work. We wish them the very best for the future and the next challenges they will face in their careers,” it added.
The former Inter Milan, Chelsea and Spurs guided the team to the Scudetto title during the 2024/25 season but finished second place last season, 11 points behind champions, Inter Milan.
The Naples based side are said to be negotiating with Massimiliano Allegri as Conte’s successor.
