Families, friends, and colleagues have joined Nigerian singer Niniola Apata to bid her husband, Michael Ndika, a final farewell during his burial rites in Lagos.
The deceased was laid to rest 15 days after the Afrobeat singer announced his passing. Ndika, who was the CEO of NaijaReview and Niniola’s longtime manager, died under circumstances that have not been disclosed.
The funeral mass and interment are taking place on Friday morning in Lagos, following a service of songs held on Thursday in the state.
At the service of songs, Niniola paid an emotional tribute to her husband, recalling his role in shaping her career.
“My late husband met me raw and made me a superstar,” she said, breaking down in tears as family and friends consoled her during the solemn gathering.
The service was attended by dignitaries, friends, and well-wishers, while colleagues in the entertainment industry described Ndika as a visionary.
