A sharp political editor with strong news judgment and a deep understanding of Nigeria’s political landscape. The successful candidate will help drive political coverage, develop original story ideas and transform breaking developments into compelling journalism for the ARISE News website and wider digital platforms.
Assistant Editor, Business & Economy
An experienced business journalist or editor capable of translating complex economic, financial and corporate developments into clear, engaging and impactful stories for the ARISE News website and broader digital audience.
Assistant Editor, Breaking News
A fast-thinking editor with excellent news instincts and the ability to identify, develop and publish breaking stories quickly and accurately for the ARISE News website across multiple beats.
Web Producer (Publishing)
A highly organised digital newsroom professional responsible for publishing and optimising content on the ARISE website, managing breaking news updates, maintaining homepage quality and ensuring a seamless digital publishing workflow.

WRITING ASSESSMENT
Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a writing and editing assessment.
The assessment is designed to evaluate originality, news judgment, analytical ability and writing skills.
Candidates may use publicly available research tools. However, submissions must reflect the applicant’s own analysis, judgment and writing ability. Responses that appear generic, heavily AI-generated or lacking in original thought will not be considered.
