The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results from the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise.
Candidates who participated in the examination can now check their scores through the approved result-checking channels provided by the board.
Ranking Process Set to Begin
JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin said the release of the mop-up results completes the examination phase and allows the admission process to move forward.
The board confirmed that candidate ranking will now commence as institutions prepare for the next stage of admissions.
Result Slips Printing to Begin
According to JAMB, candidates will soon be able to print their result slips, which are required for admission-related processes.
The board said the printing exercise is expected to begin before the end of the week.
Why the Mop-Up Examination Was Conducted
The 2026 UTME mop-up exercise was organised for candidates who had completed verification but could not participate in the main examination due to technical issues, biometric challenges or disruptions at their centres.
The examination was held on June 13, 2026.
Over Two Million Candidates Participated
The main 2026 UTME recorded participation from more than two million candidates across Nigeria.
JAMB had earlier released the general results, maintained minimum cut-off marks for universities and other institutions, and opened options for candidates who want to make changes to their chosen courses or institutions.
Admission Process Moves Forward
With the mop-up results now available, candidates and institutions are expected to continue with the next stages of the 2026 admission process.
