The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise, bringing to a close the final phase of this year’s admission examination process.
JAMB, in a released statement, made the disclosure informing that candidates who participated in the mop-up examination can now access their results through the Board’s approved result-checking channels.
The Board noted that the release of the mop-up results marks a significant step in the completion of the 2026 admission process, adding that it will immediately commence the ranking of candidates based on their performance in the examination.
According to JAMB, the results disclosure was essential in determining candidates’ positions for admission consideration into various tertiary institutions across the country, adding that the printing of results for admission purposes is expected to begin before the end of the week, paving the way for institutions to proceed with their admission processes.
JAMB expressed appreciation to candidates, parents, schools, and other stakeholders for their patience and cooperation throughout the conduct of the 2026 UTME and the subsequent mop-up exercise.
The body also reiterated its commitment to ensuring a transparent, credible, and efficient admission process, while urging candidates to continue to monitor its official communication channels for further updates regarding admissions and related procedures.
