Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma has approved the suspension of the Managing Director of the Imo State Housing Corporation (IMSHC), Raymond Ucheoma, less than a year after he assumed the role.
The suspension was communicated to Ucheoma through a formal letter from the office of the Secretary to the State Government, Cosmas Iwu.
In the letter, Ucheoma was directed to immediately hand over all government property in his possession to either the Secretary of the Corporation or the most senior officer available.
The state government also used the letter to signal its expectations going forward, expressing its desire for a revamped Imo Housing Corporation that is better aligned with the current administration’s agenda for effective and efficient service delivery.
Ucheoma had been appointed as Managing Director of the corporation in May 2025, following his retirement from public service where he had previously served as Head of Service to the Imo State Government.
